At the beginning of the ski season, we joyfully spent a week in the stunning French Alps with friends, at a wonderful ski resort called Tignes. This was an absolutely amazing experience! The kids and I eagerly took lessons in the morning while Matthew happily explored the slopes at his own pace. Seeing the kids learn and gain confidence on the snow was genuinely the highlight of our trip.

In the afternoons, we hit the slopes again, this time with friends and family. The European resorts are awesome for their huge network of slopes connecting multiple mountains. It really makes exploring the resort a blast, letting you ski from one gorgeous spot to another without feeling boxed in. Every run had something fresh to offer, whether it was jaw-dropping views or different terrain types that kept everyone engaged.
Matthew grew up skiing, so he was in his element, as he glided down the slopes at full speed. I, on the other hand, had always felt sidelined—pregnant, nursing, or with a young toddler clinging to me for what felt like an eternity. I never got to take advantage of Lake Tahoe in the winter as I had envisioned. But now, after taking lessons in Tignes and seeing my family enjoy the slopes together, I’m ready and looking forward to spending next season testing the slopes at Lake Tahoe with our local friends.

Até a próxima.
