The Dudderar Chronicles

I’m so exited to tell you everything about the last 24 hours. Especially about the food. So good! Also, if you noticed that I wrote this at six in the morning, I promise, I don’t wake up that early. There’s around an eight hour difference, so six o’clock there is midday for us. Okay, that aside, I bet it was a little boring, time to talk about the 11 hour flight. Super interesting right? Yah, I wouldn’t recommend a red eye flight that’s 11 hours to go anywhere. At least it was a direct flight. There really isn’t much to talk about that actually, so let’s move on to my favorite part, the food. It. Is. Amazing! They have these little custard pies called pastel de nata (I’m not sure it’s custard, but there nothing else to call it in English). They are waaaaayyyyy better than your everyday cupcake, and when they do have cake, it’s made of condensed milk and chocolate! It’s a cake version of these delicious treats called brigadeiros. Okay, I know I’ve only been here for one day, but this place is a paradise. The only complaint (at least for now) is the noise. They don’t have air conditioning here because you can just open your window, and there’s always a slight breeze. But when you do that, it can get loud. Maybe it was just trash day, but I’ll let you know next time. Bye for now!
